"undoing overpowering 2"
September 2, 2024
In this long-form Tongue Dump, I'm thinking about "power" by exploring what it means to "overpower." I want my choices, in art and in life, to be dictated by the delicacy of balance. Mindful of the text and audio, the first draft of "undoing overpowering" uses minimal visuals. The background collage in this latest iteration is formed from layers of an old project with overboard visuals added to overcompensate for my lack of confidence in my sound. Juxtaposing these projects starts to create a story of how I interact with trust and choice to create balance in my work. p.s. there's another minor* change I made in this draft of "undoing overpowering," did you notice it, do you think it does anything? *even minor details can power or overpower
